Florence migrated to Australia from Hong Kong in 1976. She is a full time housewife and a grandmother to five grandchildren. She is also the primary carer for her elderly parents. However, her family commitments have never deterred her from her charity work. She has been a committed member of Way In Network for the past twenty-five years. She served as President of the organisation for six consecutive years. She witnessed the organisation had grown from a new migrant women’s group to a community based charity organisation. She is currently the honorary advisor of the organisation.

She is also a trustee of the Australian Chinese Charity Foundation Inc and a staunch supporter of China Vision Inc. and has been on several charity missions to China.
