Happy International Woman’s Day – “ Achieving Financial Freedom” Talk

To celebrate International Woman’s Day today, Way In Network had hosted a talk on “ Achieving Financial Freedom” to its members, invited guests & media. This talk is also from a series of activities of Way In Network’s supporting theme “ Woman Empowerment”.
The event was sponsored by Shaw and Partners Financial Services and was held in the firm’s Headquarter in Sydney.
Ms Jessie Xiao, President of Way In Network opened the event with welcomes to the attendees. The Hon Dr Helen Sham Ho, Way In’s Hon. President then shared her thoughts on International Woman’s Day. Dr Helen Sham Ho has also shared her over 10 years experience on frighting for the equality of men and women, as a social worker, lawyer and previous Member of Parliament.
There were two key speakers. Ms Linda Tang JP, Past President of Way In Network, Senior Private Wealth Advisor of Shaw and Partners explained what was “ Financial Freedom”, its benefits, strategies and why women had to have knowledge & goals of achieving it. Linda believed that women should have less reliance on others on financial matters; through wealth creation strategies women could achieve their lifestyle goals, have better retirement life and help next generations.

The second speaker was the Westpac Private Bank’s Private Executive Mr Pierre Leung. He had an Introduction on Westpac Private Bank , home loan tips , current interest rate, market update, and what their private bank clients were currently investing . Westpac Bank is Australia’s most historical bank with over 200 years of history, their private bank is Australia’s largest Asian private bank team looking after their clients’ banking and wealth needs.
After the talk, Way In sisters had some small group discussion to share their own experience on financial freedom. Everyone enjoyd this informative afternoon and great thanks for the lucky draw gifts from Linda Tang and Shaw & Partners. Eugenia Lieu and Wilson Ng are the lady lucky winner and men lucky winner on the day.
Master of Event was Ms Nicole He from Way In Network’s committee. Over 40 participants included Past Presidents Mrs Florence Chau JP, Ms Annie Tang JP, Way In members, invited guests and clients from the 2 firms. Guests ‘ feedbacks were very positive, they all acknowledged the need of modern women to be equipped with more extensive & in depth financial knowledge to benefit themselves, theirs & next generations’ future well being.
